Dear Business Partner,
are you familiar with the European fire prevention classifications PH 15, PH 30, PH 60, PH 90 and PH 120 in terms of EN 50200/50362? No? It doesn't matter! Because in practice, the test procedures used for these European standards are inadequate in many respects. The new classifications are certainly no substitute for safety cabling with functional integrity in terms of DIN 4102-12! The reasons for this are set out in this newsletter.
The Salzburg Designer Outlet has also discovered that our pyrosys® cabling systems with integration insulation and functional integrity are "branded goods". Within the new shopping centre, our DIN 4102-12-tested products have been ensuring since recently that all safety-relevant systems will be reliably supplied with electricity even in the event of a fire.
Today, many communication networks are set up with future-proof category 7/7A copper data cables. As our customers keep on asking for Cat. 6A cables, we now also offer affordable high-quality uninet® PIMF cables optimised for category 6A in addition to the existing product range.
Last but not least, we would like to use our last newsletter of the year to thank you most sincerely for the trust you have placed in our company. We look forward to close and successful cooperation with you in 2010!
We wish you and your families an enjoyable festive season, peaceful and relaxing holidays and health, happiness and prosperity in the New Year!
Best regards
Yours team of Dätwyler Cables

Inadequate: European test procedure in terms of EN 50200 / EN 50362
No substitute for DIN 4102-12 tested safety cables!
All pyrofil® ceramic-insulated safety cables E30 / E60 / E90 with functional integrity in terms of DIN 4102-12 made by Dätwyler Cables have now also been given the European EN 50200 classification PH 120. In the same way, our pyrofil® ceramic-insulated, large-diameter safety cables have passed the 120-minute functional integrity test in terms of EN 50362 in the event of a fire.
But just how relevant is this test? How useful is it in practice? What happens when British Standard cables (PH 120 classified) are subjected to a rigorous DIN 4102-12 test procedure?
Find out more in our latest White Paper, which will be available here in English language since January 2010!
